The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, FCSO, made 20 arrests over the 3 day holiday weekend; December 23-26th). They had 881 calls, 184 traffic stops and made 3 DUI arrests.  Sheriff Staly said, ” During the holiday weekend we saw an increase in domestic and other disturbances,” he continued on to say, “Sometimes holidays bring out the worst in people and can be very dangerous for law enforcement, like the tragic murder of an Okaloosa County Deputy Sheriff on Christmas Eve during a domestic call.”

FCSO arrested a man from Ponte Verde on Monday morning after he attacked and beat a female acquaintance  that he had traveled to spend Christmas weekend with here in Palm Coast. He was reported to be punching and strangling her. During her attempts to escape the man it led her to a second story balcony, where she called for help, but was forced to jump from that balcony into the bushes when the man broke down the door leading to the balcony.  He was found by a witness to be dragging her across the street. The witness intervened by yelling at the man to release the woman, and he did. The witness and the victim dialed 911 while the assailant, who has been identified as Allen Brucker, fled the scene in a white truck. Deputies found Brucker after they made phone contact and could hear the suspect yelling into the phone.  He was taken to the Green Roof Inn and has been charged with Violation of No Contact Order and Strangulation –  Domestic Violence. He is being held with no bond.

FCSO responded to a report of a physical disturbance with a possible firearm.  There was an ID card left at the scene of the disturbance which led deputies to Lloret Place in Palm Coast. The deputies made contact with two people, now known as Rufus Hill, the driver of the car, and Lonnie Mobley.  Rufus Hill was arrested for Driving with License Suspended – Habitual and Open Container of Alcohol. Lonnie Mobley was arrested for Resisting Arrest Without Violence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana Under 20 Gram.  Rufus Hill has bonded out for $3,000 and Lonnie Mobley has bonded out for $1,500. Mobley has a criminal history in Flagler County going back to 2009 and it includes Disorderly Intoxication, Battery on a LEO/FF/EMT and Resisting Arrest Without Violence.

FCSO arrested a female on Christmas day after she attacked a male acquaintance with a knife. She was reported by a witness who also identified the female assailant as Chelsea Hogarty. It is reported that Hogarty became upset that the man was using dating apps, and she allegedly picked up a kitchen knife and tried to slash the man a number of times before the man was able to disarm her. When deputies arrived on the scene they were able to observe several wounds to the mans arms consistent with someone defending themselves from a knife attack.  Hogarty was arrested for Aggravated Battery – Domestic  and is currently being held on a $5,000 bond.
