A domestic and weapons complaint was brought to the attention of FCSO Deputies, the FCSO SWAT Team, and the FCSO Crisis Negotiations Team at 4 Cute Court in Palm Coast at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023. A female had called FCSO Communications to report that a male in the house had a gun and had shot it at least once, and she had called the department.
The female was able to safely leave the house after deputies arrived. The man inside the house with the gun in his hand was visible to the deputies. The male initially refused to cooperate with the deputies, prompting FCSO SWAT and the FCSO Crisis Negotiations team to intervene. As negotiations continued, nearby residents were notified to shelter in place. The man eventually went outside, and when he didn’t follow the deputies, they hit him with non-lethal defensive weapons and took him into custody without hurting him.
Juan Nodarse is the man who was arrested for Shooting Into an Occupied House and is currently being held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. As the investigation progresses, additional information will become available.
“Great job by our deputies, negotiators, and SWAT Team de-escalating and ensuring this volatile and dangerous situation ended safely without anyone getting hurt,” said Sheriff Rick Staly.
