FCSO spent the weekend handling 834 calls for service, making 135 traffic stops and arresting 15. Below is a summary of events that occurred over the weekend.
“Just because you don’t live in Flagler County, doesn’t mean we won’t find you with your narcotics and put you in the Green Roof Inn,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Poison peddlers need to remember to stay out of Flagler County!”
Deputy Rainey made a traffick stop on a vehicle that was speeding on US-1. The man, identified as Rashad Wallace, was found to have $1,568 dollars in cash on his person along with a bag of white powdery substance that was believed to be cocaine. This was found during a search of the vehicle’s occupants, and the substance was tested and it was a presumptive positive for cocaine. Wallace was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine – Trafficking (28g – 150kg) and was released after posting the $25,000 bond.
FCSO is also reminding residents to be vigilant when in public and to keep your belongings close to you. Do not leave possessions unattended, as that leaves the perfect situation for distraction style thefts.
