The Ladies of Flagler County is a Facebook Group that was born out of the pandemic. During the lock downs, this group was started as a way to stay connected, and to build friendships with other ladies in the county. Since the lockdowns, this group has grown to over 8,200 members! This group is strictly for the ladies, however they do have sister groups where men and families are welcomed as well. This group is a way for the ladies in our county to stay connected, build connections and friendships, and grow their interests and hobbies.
Last year, the Ladies of Flagler County (LOFC) hosted a picnic contest at the beach, and this year was the 2nd annual picnic contest! Participants from the group could work as teams, or solo to create food and a picnic/table setting for a specific country. Among the setups, were ladies who represented Israel, Italy, Ireland, USA, Honduras, Greece, Cuba and so many more.
Ladies had to have their picnic set ups and food ready to go at 5:30 as that is when the judges, Sheriff Staly and his wife, and Mike Lutz and his wife, would be ready to judge the foods and the displays. These ladies went all out, and boy the displays did not disappoint! The displays that were assembled were breathtaking, and the creativity among these ladies is amazing. Coordinator Donna Davis did a fantastic job making sure everything went as planned, and keeping everyone on track and on schedule.
If you are a lady in Flagler County, and you have been looking for ways to connect in our county, this is one of the best ways to find some connections.
