Meet Slate, a dog who had been abandoned along a highway. Five individuals called the SMART “lost animal” county hotline when they saw the dog running on the highway. SMART was able to find a foster family for the dog and now the medical needs must be tackled.
Slate currently needs to be de-wormed, get him up to date on his vaccines, tackle the heart worms infesting his heart, and he will need a surgery so he can be neutered.
