This last week, Flagler Beach residents had the option to attend a meeting where the new Margaritaville project was explained during a presentation. There was a presentation made outlining who the company is, some of their projects they have handled and a layout of how this upcoming project would happen.

The presentation started off by outlining who they were as a full service CM/GC, along with listing their 44 years of experience since the company founded in 1979. During this presentation, a short list of some of their projects were listed, such as the Jax Beach Margaritaville Hotel, the Omni Resort at ChampionsGate, the Hilton Orlando Convention Hotel, the Gaylord Rockies in Aurora Colorado, and more. They talked about being a leader in Hospitality Construction, but also have constructed Education and Industrial buildings as well.

Sun Partners, LLC, Welbros and BRHP, are among the team members that will be involved in this project. The project will consist of 3 stories, 100 Guestrooms, a pool with a tiki bar, rooftop terrace, meeting space, retail and a fitness room. This project will be located at the corner of S. Central Ave and S. Second Street. it will sit in the empty lot between veterans park and Sunbros.

This project is slated to being in September of this year, 2023, and is anticipated to be completed in 18 months, by April of 2025. Work days are currently estimated to be Monday-Friday with Saturdays only being an option if required. Concrete pours will be done early in the mornings and it will be scheduled and coordinated with the proper departments in advance. During First Friday events the job site will close at 4pm.

Job safety was a topic they covered as well, stating that their number one concern was safety for but the public and the workers. They stated that their company has gove over 350,000 man-hours without a lost time incident. It was also stated that hurricane preparedness and safety was also worked into the plans and is a top priority.
