Operation 22, a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about veteran mental health and preventing veteran suicide, is excited to announce its very first annual event: the “Ride Against Suicide Poker Run.” This unique event is set to take place on September 16th, 2023 starting at 10:00 AM and aims to unite the community in a day of camaraderie, support, and raising vital funds to combat the devastating impact of suicide on the veteran community.

The “Ride Against Suicide Poker Run” is a one-of-a-kind event that combines the thrill of a motorcycle ride with the strategy of a poker game, all while championing a crucial cause. Riders and participants from all walks of life are invited to join in this unforgettable experience, highlighting the importance of mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

Event Highlights:

  • Route: Participants will embark on a scenic motorcycle ride to some Northeast, Florida’s Best biker spots! Beginning and ending at the World Famous Iron Horse Saloon. Along the way riders will hit locations such as Ike’s Saloon, 1405 Saloon, Conquina Coast Brewing, Beach Front Grille, and Teddy Morse’e Harley Davidson.
  • Poker Game: At designated checkpoints along the route, riders will draw playing cards to build their poker hands. Prizes will be awarded for the best poker hands at the end of the ride.
  • Community Unity: The event seeks to foster a sense of community and solidarity among riders, encouraging open conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
  • Fundraising: All proceeds from the “Ride Against Suicide Poker Run” will directly benefit Operation 22’s programs and initiatives focused on mental health education, outreach, and support services.
  • Entertainment and Food: The event promises a festive atmosphere with live entertainment, food trucks, and vendor booths offering a variety of products and services all conveniently located at the Iron Horse Saloon.
