“I never expect to win things, or advocate for it. I share a lot on social media; I never thought that I would be that person that is picked. I really got teary eyed, not because I am looking for accolades, I try to do stuff for other people and when it comes back it reminds me that I do things too,” Tiffany said to kick off the interview.
Tiffany’s story started when she was very young. Her mother took herself and Tiffany out of a domestic violence situation that involved her biological father. Her mother was a big part in teaching Tiffany that her voice matters, and her voice can make a difference. Because of that background, it helped shape Tiffany to become the leader that she is today. “Your voice is powerful, and what you have to say is powerful, that is what my mother always used to say to me,” Tiffany said.
Tiffany went on to explain that she discovered Palm Coast when her neighbors had moved to Palm Coast in the early 2000’s. Her mom and step dad had gone to visit their old neighbors, and upon returning to New York, told Tiffany they had bought a house here as a souvenir. Tiffany didn’t want to stay in New York without her parents so she packed up to move down here, in hopes of challenging herself to grow.
Tiffany’s business started with a podcast, and after COVID, that is when she left the corporate world and decided to take a break to re-evaluate her business and what she was doing. “Positivity is a number one value of mine, while still being realistic. I mean, I am not positive all the time, I have my moments when I go home and vent to my husband,” Tiffany explained.
Tiffany went on to explain that she isn’t always positive, and when she left the corporate world she realized how big of a toll that atmosphere, stress, and negativity can take on your body. When asked how she stays positive during the stressful and difficult times, she told us, “It could always be worse. I’m not saying that in the comparative sense, but its one of those things where I have been through worse, and I take it minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, and so on.”
“You have to surround yourself with positive things, from the people around you to the music, the podcasts, the tv shows, that you listen to. To those who nominated me, I appreciate the time you took to think of me. It gives me goosebumps, and it is truly humbling to know that people thought of me that way. I will be giving back to this community event more. Thank you,” Tiffany finished.
