Two brothers who molested the same juveniles have been convicted and sentenced to prison.
On June 26, 2023, Marcian Thompson Jr. was sentenced to 6 years in prison followed by 9 years of sex offender probation and sex offender registration after being convicted of one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation (Victim Less than 12 YOA/Offender Under 18 YOA) and one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation (Offender under 18 YOA/Victim between 12-16 YOA).
On November 28, 2023, Ja’Vere Lumpkins was sentenced to 6 years in prison followed by 9 years of sex offender probation and sex offender registration after being convicted of two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation (Victim Less than 12 YOA/Offender Under 18 YOA).
“Hopefully these sentences bring some sense of justice to the families of the juveniles who they molested,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Thank you to the Major Case Unit, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and other partners who helped us in these cases and stopped them from preying on innocent children.”
