Washington Oaks Gardens held their annual Holiday in the Gardens event December 9th, from 10am to 3pm. During the event, park staff and volunteers were also set up to collect food and toy donations from event goers. Food trucks and vendors were also set up in the park to offer holiday shopping and food for event attendees.
The gardens were lined with beautiful decorations, creating a fun walk through the park for those who wanted to enjoy the holidays while also enjoying the natural Florida vegetation. The park also had areas set up for the kids, including a kids section which had face paint, crafts and games; and story time with Mrs. Claus.
Volunteers manned the greenhouse where attendees could browse through and purchase plants. Children were also encouraged to stop by a tent where they could receive a free spider plant.
Washington Oaks State Park holds this event every year, so if you missed this years event, you can always catch it next year.
