Last weekend’s storms brought enough rains to cause flooding issues for many residents in Palm Coast, Flagler Beach and many other areas in Flagler County. With the booming development happening all throughout the area, many existing residents are seeing issues with storm water on their properties during even normal rain storms.

Many residents had photos to post mere hours after the rain subsided to show how much water their properties are now holding. With many residents still battling the standing storm water on their properties, the possibility of more rain over the Christmas holiday is concerning to many.

Residents have banded together and are consistently bringing this issue to the Palm Coast City Council, in an effort to receive some kind of solution to this issue. Currently the City has formed a “task force” of internal city officials to work on solutions to this issue.

With an El Nino winter forecasted for Florida this year, that means a wetter and colder winter. For those residents seeing regular flooding during average rain storms that leaves many incredibly concerned for their homes and property with the potential for regular flooding during winter rain storms.
