Monday February 5th, 2024, the American Meteor Society (AMS) confirmed the fireball seen in the sky during the Sunday evening storm was in fact a meteor.

The AMS confirmed the meteor and estimated it feel roughly 100+ miles east of the Florida coast. The AMS confirmed 13 people reported seeing the event from North Florida to Cape Canaveral.
