WaterSafe Inc., a local nonprofit founded in 2016, will be hosting the 8th Annual WaterSafe Event at the Belle Terre Swim & Racquet Club on Saturday, April 27, 9am – 12pm.
This is a free event, open to the public, featuring SynchroBelles, mermaids, and in-water safety demonstrations. A variety of community vendors will be at the event including Vincent’s Clubhouse, AQUAfin Swim Schools, the Flagler County Fire Department, and more!
WaterSafe Inc. was founded in 2016 in response to the pediatric drowning incidents that occurred in Flagler County. Drowning is a preventable tragedy, and it can be prevented by 88% with formal swim lessons. WaterSafe has a swim lesson scholarship program that provides swim lessons to families who cannot afford them. The scholarship program is year-round with lessons happening at AQUAfin Swim School.
May is National Water Safety Month. Join us to learn about the importance of swim lessons and tips to stay safe in and around the water. Summer is just around the corner – help keep your family safe this swim season by equipping them with water safety skills.
