Vincent’s Clubhouse, a local nonprofit offering programs and services for children with disabilities, hosted its 6th summer camp this week, July 15th – 18th, 2024. Previously, the summer camp was traditionally held at one of the local schools, however this year, Erica Flores, founder of Vincent’s Clubhouse, was able to host the summer camp at Cattleman’s Hall in the Flagler County Fairgrounds. She explained the children’s desire to have their summer camp in a location that felt more like camp and less like school. This prompted the shift from hosting it in schools to the new location at Cattleman’s Hall. The summer camp has grown over the years, with more and more children attending. Many of these children have no other options for summer camp due to their disabilities and needs.
Vincent’s Clubhouse will be hosting its Summer Camp award ceremony on Friday, July 19th, 2024 at noon. Flagler County Buzz will be on site to livestream the awards ceremony on Facebook.
