Flagler County advises that motorists who regularly use State Road 11 and County Road 304 that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will be shifting traffic into the new roundabout possibly as soon as Monday (August 26), subject to changes in weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
The four-way stop at the intersection will remain in place until the new roundabout configuration goes into effect, according to an FDOT release.
Once the roundabout configuration is in place, yield signs will replace the current stop signs, and barrels will be set up to guide motorists through the roundabout, the release states. Signage and message boards will also be used to direct motorists. Both State Road 11 and County Road 304 will remain open to traffic, but single-lane closures with flagging operations can be expected throughout the project.
Construction on the roundabout project will be ongoing for the next year and completion is expected in summer 2025. The project webpage is https://www.cflroads.com/project/439156-1 and contains lane closures and project updates.
