Local Author Raquel Herring and Business owner Yonette Turner are the founders of the Literary Lounge here in Palm Coast. The goal of this group and event is to highlight and showcase local authors from Flagler County and allow them a place to interact with the community for free.   Raquel and Yonette started the Literary Lounge earlier this year in February, and typically put on an event at the end of every month at GoodVibes Nutrition of Palm Coast in St. Joe’s Plaza.

On Saturday, August 31st, 2024, Raquel and Yonetter held their August Literary Lounge event, featuring Barbara Solomon, J.S. Farmer, and Mystic Mel, all local Palm Coast and Flagler County Authors. Each author was given time to read from their books, explain their life, their journeys, and how their stories came to be written.
