The City of Palm Coast would like to extend its appreciation to residents and commuters for their patience as paving work continues on Rymfire Drive. We recognize the traffic disruptions this project has caused, especially with the temporary closure of the left turn lane from Belle Terre Parkway onto Rymfire Drive. The good news is that this turn lane is expected to re-open within the next few days, which will help improve traffic flow.

Construction crews are working weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., which includes daily lane closures and detours. Please be advised that detour routes may change based on the progress of the project, and we ask drivers to exercise caution and reduce their speed when traveling through the construction zones for everyone’s safety.

Paving in front of Rymfire Elementary School is a priority, and we are committed to minimizing disruptions to school activities. As such, paving work in that area will take place at night to avoid interference with school pickup and drop-off times.

We understand that road closures are an inconvenience, but unfortunately, they are necessary to complete this important work. Once the Rymfire Drive project is completed, crews will shift to milling and resurfacing on Royal Palms Parkway. This portion of the work will be done during the night to minimize traffic impacts.

Thank you again for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the roadways in our community.
