Residents are invited to attend the annual public hearing of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC), a joint committee of Flagler County and the City of Palm Coast, at 3 p.m. on November 12, when it presents its recommendations to the community for consideration and input. The meeting will be held in the Emergency Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Building 3, Training Room B, in Bunnell.

“AHAC will present proposed recommendations to encourage affordable housing options through strategic adjustments to local regulations, land use policies, and development processes in Flagler County and the City of Palm Coast,” said Housing Program Manager Devrie Paradowski. “These recommendations are part of a broader effort to enhance housing accessibility and affordability through thoughtful growth management and economic development initiatives rather than social assistance programs.”

The committee has reviewed a set of 11 statutory incentives provided under Florida Statute 420.9076, which focus on planning and development incentives intended to make housing more attainable for the community.

Public input on these proposed recommendations will help ensure that they align with community priorities.

Once finalized, the committee’s adopted report will be submitted to both the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners and the Palm Coast City Council for review and consideration.
