Stolen Vehicle Recovered; Palm Coast Man Arrested

On Friday evening, the FCSO Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit was notified by the Ormond Beach Police Department that a stolen vehicle had possibly entered Flagler County. They reported the suspect as Glib Fedotov, 23, of Palm Coast. Fedotov was known to PACE detectives as a habitual offender with multiple arrests since 2021 for crimes including burglary, possession of fentanyl, and trespassing.

Detectives traveled to a residence on Woodhollow Lane in Palm Coast which Fedotov was recently known to be staying at and located the stolen vehicle parked in front of a nearby empty lot. Detectives conducted surveillance on the vehicle and, within 30 minutes, Fedotov exited the residence, walked down the street, and entered the vehicle. Detectives then conducted a felony stop on the vehicle, with assistance from deputies and the K-9 Unit.

Fedotov was arrested for Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held on a $5,000 bond.

“This is exactly why we created the PACE Unit,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “PACE detectives drive cars that allow them to blend into a neighborhood. This guy has spent time in the Green Roof Inn before, and I hope this time he will think about the consequences that a life of crime brings. I commend our PACE Unit for quickly recovering this stolen vehicle and making an arrest.”

Out-of-County Fugitive Arrested After Shoplifting from Home Depot

On Saturday afternoon, deputies responded to a shoplifting incident at Home Depot in Palm Coast. Upon arrival, they spoke to the store’s asset protection investigator, who stated that a male, whom he recognized from previous encounters as Willie Parker, 42, had attempted to steal two lawnmowers from the store. The employee said he then confronted Parker in the parking lot and Parker fled, abandoning the lawnmowers.

Deputies in the area observed a subject matching Parker’s description entering a nearby gas station. When they entered the gas station, the clerk informed them the subject was in the restroom. When he exited, deputies detained the subject and positively identified him as the suspect.

When speaking to deputies, Parker admitted to attempting to steal the lawnmowers but provided deputies with a false name and date of birth. When later asked why he lied, Parker stated “Because I have warrants.”

Parker was found to have multiple no-bond warrants from Volusia County, Florida. In addition, he was on probation following previous convictions of grand theft and petit theft and violated his probation.

Upon further investigation, deputies also determined that Parker had previously been trespassed from Home Depot in 2023.

Parker was arrested for Grand Theft, Trespassing, Providing a False Name to Law Enforcement, and Violation of Probation. He was also arrested on his out-of-county warrants. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

“This guy has not learned his lesson, because he keeps trying to steal and keeps getting caught,” said Sheriff Staly. “And not only that, he knew he had warrants, came into our county, and tried to lie to our deputies. Let this be a lesson to criminals that you can’t get away with any of that in Flagler County! If you’re a fugitive or a thief, you better avoid Flagler County!”
