By-Line: Julie Murphy, Flagler County Government

Love the parks and want to be a champion of them? There is room on the Flagler County “Parks and Recreation Advisory Board” to share ideas that can effect positive change.

“There are seven members who are representative of different areas within the county, and they make up the advisory board,” said Staff Liaison and Parks Manager Frank Barbuti. “The parks board makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on matters about county parks, recreational programs, and facilities.”

Appointments are two-year terms. The seven board members meet at 10 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held in the first-floor conference room at the Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Building 2, Bunnell.
