The Flagler Beach Commission Business Meeting began with a presentation about Passport, a parking management platform trusted by over 800 clients across North America.
Passport’s presence in Florida was highlighted, with partnerships with over 30 municipalities including St. Augustine, Tampa, Sarasota, and other cities. The presenter shared impressive system scalability statistics, including 3.8B+ payments processed, 93M+ monthly platform API events, and 31K+ active back office operator users.
The presentation then moved to demonstrate the Passport Parking App functionality. The app features easy account creation, support for LPN & space-based environments, and a powerful rate engine for managing rates and regulations. The presenter walked through the guest checkout process, showing how users can enter zone numbers, select parking duration, and make payments with various options including credit cards and digital wallets.
A discussion of the Find Parking Map feature followed, demonstrating how parkers can toggle to map view, locate parking zones, and initiate payments. The presentation also covered the Parker Feedback Survey functionality, which is available only with Guest Checkout.
The meeting concluded with a discussion about validation codes and merchant services, explaining how merchants can load balance and create codes for predetermined amounts to offer parking discounts to customers.
I don’t even know how to use an app and apps are not on my phone. So how would someone pay to park without a cell phone that uses apps?
Then you would be less then 1% of the people who would venture to our beach. Not that we don’t care about you coming here, but we will do what’s right for our town. If this system goes through and you really want to visit, I’m sure you’ll find a way
You can also use a debit card/credit card
I really hope they don’t charge us to park at our beaches. Have optional parking lots that charge for parking, sure. But street parking should be free.
