On April 24, 2025, Sheriff Rick Staly and members of the Youth Services Section Office visited two local schools to present two exceptional students with awards for being “Great Kids” for March 2025.

Every month during the school year, the “Great Kid” Award is presented to students who respect their peers, help others, work hard in academics, and represent themselves and their school well. The recipients are nominated by FCSO’s School Resource Deputies and school employees.

“The Great Kid Awards allow us to meet and recognize some extraordinary kids doing great things in our community and their schools,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “We hear too often about kids who make bad decisions. It is an honor to present these awards and shine a spotlight on the students in Flagler County who are working to make a positive impact. We want them to know that we see them, appreciate their hard work and we’re here to help and support them to reach their goals.”

Below is a summary of each student and why they received the Great Kid Award.
