Due to the anticipated arrival of Hurricane Milton, WastePro will not make trash or yard waste pick-ups in unincorporated Flagler County. Flagler County Government (Board of County Commissioners) offices and both branches of the Flagler County Public Library will be closed.

“Right now, we expect regular collection will resume Friday and that we will reopen offices,” said County Administrator Heidi Petito. “We’ll post updates as soon as possible.”

Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord asks that residents and businesses finalize preparations:

  • Get supplies like water, non-perishable food, batteries, flashlights, and medications. Find more specifics in the Emergency Preparedness Guide at www.FlaglerCounty.gov/emergency.
  • Discuss emergency plans with family, including where to go and how to communicate if separated.
  • Secure property from loose items that could become projectiles in high winds and ensure windows are secured.
  • Check the Potential Hurricane Evacuation Zones by going to www.FlaglerCounty.gov/emergency and clicking on the link of the same name, Hurricane Evacuation Zones.
