Flagler County officials urge residents to remain off the roads as dedicated crews work diligently to assess and address unsafe conditions in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. Road closures and updates will be available on the county’s website as conditions improve.
Residents are also reminded to report any power outages directly to Florida Power & Light (FPL) by visiting FPL.com. It’s crucial to avoid any downed power lines and flooded or debris-laden areas that may conceal such hazards.
In positive news, the curfew that was in place for Flagler County has been lifted as of this morning, October 10, 2024. Authorities will continue to monitor wind speeds, rainfall levels, and other weather conditions in light of the impacts of Hurricane Milton.
“Safety remains our top priority, and we appreciate the community’s cooperation as we work to restore normalcy,” said Jonathan Lord, Flagler County Emergency Management Director.
