The local B.A.C.A (Bikers Against Child Abuse) chapter came together earlier this month for one of their own, Lindee Brauer. In December of 2024, Devon Brown, her significant other and the father of her young daughter was in a severe motorcycle accident that left him wheelchair-bound. He suffered multiple broken bones and road rash from the accident, keeping him from working and now faces the full brunt of medical bills once his insurance runs out in mid-March.
B.A.C.A., partnering with Ike’s Saloon in Bunnell, came together to rally around Lindee, who is a BACA member as well as a small business owner in Flagler County. They held a fundraiser at Ike’s Saloon with food, over 30 raffle items, and over 10 silent auction items to help raise money to cover the medical bills that have already started rolling in for Lindee and her family. The community came together for Lindee and her family, packing the Saloon for hours, allowing attendees time to bid on items and purchase raffle tickets while they enjoyed food.
While the fundraiser was a great success, providing necessary relief for the financial needs of the family, the road to recovery is still a long one. For community members who wish to continue assisting the young family, a GoFundMe page was started for the family, which you can find here. https://www.gofundme.com/f/motorocyle-recovery-with-family
