The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests following a warrant service, including a fugitive who had felony warrants in multiple other Florida counties.
On February 25, the FCSO Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service served an arrest warrant at a hotel room at the Red Roof Inn in Palm Coast. Two occupants exited the room and were apprehended: Damian Cacchio-Burton, 35, of Pompano Beach, Florida and Iris Grant, 45, of Melbourne, Florida. Cacchio-Burton was a fugitive with a warrant from Palm Beach County, Florida for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle, as well as multiple warrants from Broward County, Florida for Violation of Probation.
When detectives arrested Cacchio-Burton, they located several baggies of narcotics in his pants pocket. Additionally, while sweeping the room for additional suspects, detectives and U.S. Marshals observed multiple baggies of narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view throughout the room. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the room where they located methamphetamine, cocaine, prescription medication, glass pipes, needles, and nitrous oxide cannisters.
Cacchio-Burton was arrested for his out-of-county warrants, as well as Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Amphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting an Officer without Violence. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.
Grant was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Inhalation, Ingestion, or Possession of Harmful Chemical Substances; and Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance. She was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where she was released on a $13,500 bond.

“This fugitive thought that he and his friend could come to Flagler County to hide out in a hotel room and do drugs, but he learned like so many others before that was a mistake,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Working with our law enforcement partners, we tracked them down and sent them both to the Green Roof Inn. I commend our PACE Unit and thank our partners at the U.S. Marshals Service for their outstanding work to locate and apprehend this fugitive and his partner.”
