The City of Palm Coast officially responded to the request to participate in the State’s EOG DOGE Team, citing that the City does not meet the criteria of financial emergencies despite the public outcry for forensic audits, which would cost millions of dollars. The City of Palm Coast has declined to participate in the State’s EOG DOGE, with the following response:
“The City of Palm Coast was contacted by the Executive Office of the Governor’s (EOG) newly established DOGE Team in response to Executive Order 25-44. This initiative aims to identify and address unnecessary spending within local governments, enhance efficiency, and promote fiscal responsibility across Florida.
As part of its mission, the EOG DOGE Team is also assessing compliance with Florida’s financial management requirements under section 218.503, Florida Statutes. This provision determines whether a local government is in financial emergency or distress based on criteria such as:
- Failure to pay short-term loans or obligations when due as a result of lack of funds.
- Failure to make debt service payments on bonds, loans, or other debt instruments when due.
- Failure to timely pay uncontested claims from creditors for more than 90 days due to lack of funds.
- Failure to transfer taxes, social security contributions, or retirement plan contributions as required by law.
- An unreserved or total fund balance deficit in the general fund or any major operating fund that persists for two consecutive years.
The City of Palm Coast is pleased to report that we do not meet any of the financial emergency criteria outlined in DOGE’s initial review. Our financial standing remains strong, and we will continue to work transparently with the DOGE Team to address any further inquiries and uphold the highest standards of fiscal accountability.”

Why are we not collection the 120 million owed to us by a builder ? No doubt one of Alfin’s friends. Where did the 70 million swale and clean out the canals money go from all the increases by Mayor Holland on the water bill for swales ? Why do we still have uneducated Jason and Carl working for the city. Jayson was a lobbyist in Tallahassee and Carl was a building inspector in New Hampshire. Neither has the education or training for the jobs they have. But they are always asking for more money for what ? Never an answer.
What builder? What are the circumstances of the action?
