By-Line: Nicole Graves, East Flagler Mosquito District
The East Flagler Mosquito Control District, in partnership with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, is pleased to announce Tire Amnesty
Days for 2025. This is scheduled for April 25–27, 2025 at the District Headquarters located at 210 Fin Way, Palm Coast. This community event provides all Flagler County residents with an opportunity to dispose of unwanted tires and bromeliads. These are known to collect standing water and provide breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Drop-off hours are:
Friday, April 25: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday, April 26–27: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Important details:
This service is free of charge for Flagler County residents.
Residents must present valid identification with a Flagler County address.
Tire disposal is limited to 8 tires per person and 20 tires per household.
No tires with rims will be accepted.
Bromeliads have no limit on quantity.
“Tires and bromeliads are both common mosquito breeding sites,” said Chairman Mike Martin. “By removing them from the environment our residents are directly helping to reduce mosquito populations and protect public health.” For more information, visit FlaglerMosquito.gov or follow the District on social media for updates and reminders.
