High Tides at Snack Jacks has been a Flagler Beach staple since 1947. The quaint seaside eatery is home to the ‘Shrimp Special’ on Mondays and Tuesdays, which is a pound of peel and eat shrimp for only $12. If you are a fan of shrimp, it’s definitely worth the stop! The restaurant is one of only two restaurants located directly on the beach in Flagler Beach.

There are three areas to enjoy your delicious meal. Patrons can eat outside on picnic tables while watching the waves crash below.  Seating inside the restaurant includes the bar area, booths and tables. There is also a covered and screened in porch area where diners can eat their food while enjoying the view.

Hurricanes Ian and Nicole ravaged the property last year, causing the restaurant to close down for repairs and renovations. High Tides was closed from October 2022 through early March 2023.

Longtime fans of the restaurant were worried about their favorite Flagler Beach eatery.  High Tides at Snack Jack’s updated their Facebook followers after the storms. “We would first like to say THANK YOU to all the people that have called, texted, emailed, FB messaged & stopped by to check on us to see how we made it through the storm. Knowing how many of you care so much about our little place means more to us than words could possibly express. Thank you. Snack Jack’s is still standing strong!! We have put up Caution Tape to keep people off of the property until we can secure the Dune walkovers. Our Dunes have taken a beating and we need to protect them. We will be working hard to fix what needs to be fixed so we can get Snack’s back in shape for your next visit.”
Guest Cindy Ruddert said, “Appreciate the update. High Tides is absolutely our favorite place to eat and drink in Florida. Friendly servers, fabulous food, outstanding ocean view. Your efforts to protect the dunes and your establishment do not go unnoticed!”

Four months after their reopening, the restaurant is still going strong. Be sure to stop by if you haven’t had the chance to since their reopening.
