UPDATE: FCSO detectives have made an arrest on a 16 year old male in regards to the stabbing of two juveniles in the BL-Section of Palm Coast. Detectives were able to determine through investigative means that Brandon Gray Jr traveled with a friend to a residence in the BL section to sell a combo of marijuana and Italian seasonings, and the group of juveniles then went to a trail nearby and engaged in a fight.

During the investigation FCSO detectives that the juveniles at first engaged in a fist fight that escalated with Gray brought out a pocket knife and stabbed the first victim. The second juvenile was stabbed when he attempted to help the first victim. Gray was arrested and taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility while awaiting a decision from the Department of Juvenile Justice. Gray has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon (one county for each juvenile victim) and Use/Display of a Weapon During a Felony.

“Like Detective Gossett tells Gray in the video, kids become who they hang out with,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Committing a crime by selling a mixture of Italian seasoning and illegal weed is a recipe for disaster and escalating violence as we saw in this case. Parents, be the Sheriff in your home and know who your kids are hanging out with and what they are doing, so they don’t make life-changing mistakes at a young age.”

FCSO Major Case Detectives are currently investigating a stabbing that happened on Sunday afternoon, July 30th in the B-Section of Palm Coast. Several Juveniles were involved in a physical altercation which then led to two juveniles being stabbed with a small pocket knife.

Both juveniles suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. FCSO states there is no danger to the general public at this time, as it appears to be an isolated incident which involved individuals who knew each other. A video of the incident has been found circulating on social media and FCSO detectives have a copy of that video.

“Our Major Case detectives are hard at work thoroughly investigating all aspects of this case,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “As summer winds down and kids prepare to go back to school, please remember to keep an eye on where your kids are, who they are hanging out with, and what they are doing. Be the Sheriff in your home and teach your kids that violence is never the answer.”
