Board of County Commissioner Chair Greg Hanson opened up the ribbon cutting and talked about the trail and bridge. The bridge took a lot of money to build the construction was 9.8 million dollars! That’s a lot of money for a bridge.

Jack Evans came up to say things like ‘teamwork makes the dream work’ and it really does. He also likes the safety the bridge has. He said a good speech is a short speech. He thanked the people who built the bridge.

Simon came up to say a few things like so the bridge is supposed to look like the Flagler Beach pier. KCA was one of the companies who were part of building the bridge.

When Greg Hanson went up cut the ribbon after the ribbon was cut the Flagler High School track team ran over the bridge and came back.

Amy Stroger the project manager for engineering told us they built the bridge there because they had property over there and they were able to work with other agencies like DOT who also had land there. They are going to build a park there as well as more trails.
